This is an excellent trail run along the surrounding trails and woodland of Great Missenden.

You will explore some of the Chiltern Society’s famous sites including John Hampden Monument and Lacey Green Windmill.

There will be two route distances on the day, 15.5km or 20km.

For those that don't have a railcard, Chris will email all runners a few days to before the run to organise a GroupSave train ticket (£11.75).

    320 metres

Level 2 runs are a mixture of flat and undulating sections on runnable terrain.

Our difficulty level reflects the amount of elevation you will encounter on the route and a measure of how tough/technical the terrain is.

The route will start and finish at Great Missenden Train Station in a beautiful part of the Chiltern Hills.

There will be two route distances on the day. Both follow very similar paths with the longer one having a later turn around point.

Shorter route - 15.5km (323m)
Longer route - 20km (400m)

Meeting points

The run will start outside the main entrance/exit of Great Missenden Station

You can check your route to the meeting point using the links below.

We will take a post-run pitstop at The Cross Keys pub, just a couple of minutes from the start/finish point.

If we can reserve an area we will, however we don’t formally book a table as this often requires a deposit/exact numbers. If the chosen pub/cafe is full or busy we will try somewhere else.

Trail running shoes

Wear appropriate shoes for uneven terrain & muddy conditions!

Water

Carry at least 500ml of water with you.

Phone

You're unlikely to forget this but please remember to fully charge it.

Snacks

Bring an energy gel, bar or some sugar to help refuel during the run.

Running pack or bag

You'll need something like this to carry everything in.

Hat

A sun hat for warm weather or a warm hat for cold weather.

Gloves

In cold or wet conditions please bring gloves.

Cash

Carry a small amount of cash, you never know when it will be useful.
