Leith Hill tower has got to be one our our favourite places to run to in Surrey.

The surrounding trails are full of delights and the views along the Greensand Ridge make the hills worth it.

This run is just over 21km with around 500m of elevation gain.

We will be stopping for a breather half way on the top of the tower.

Meeting points

London Victoria

There will be no meeting point in order to minimise social contact. Please board the train on our own or in small groups.

Route start

Meet outside the main entrance of Dorking station. The guides will be there from 10:15.

Please meet the Runaway team at the meeting point 15-20mins prior to departure.

There is a car park at Dorking Station.

If pubs have reopened we will aim to have some post-run drinks in a local pub beer garden.

It's unlikely we will be able to have a group lunch together, so please arrange this yourself or bring some post run snacks.

If we can reserve an area we will, however we don’t formally book a table as this often requires a deposit/exact numbers. If the chosen pub/cafe is full or busy we will try somewhere else.

Carry at least 500ml of water with you.

Bring an energy gel, bar or some sugar to help refuel during the run.

Running pack or bag

You'll need something like this to carry everything in.

Hat

A sun hat for warm weather or a warm hat for cold weather.

Gloves

In cold or wet conditions please bring gloves.

Cash

Carry a small amount of cash, you never know when it will be useful.
