Marlow is a 45 minute journey out from Paddington and sits on a quiet section of the River Thames.
On arrival we'll be crossing the bridge and taking you out on a 10km trail run through Bisham Woods.
The run route finishes at Longridge Activity Centre where Kayaks will be waiting for us. We then have 90 minutes to explore the section of the Thames that surrounds Marlow.
There are just 16 spaces available for this one, so don't hesitate and get left behind.
Bag drop - We will be arrange a bag drop so you can wrap up warm before getting in the boat!

Our 10.4km run route takes us across Marlow Bridge and into Bisham Woods.
The route has some mild undulation throughout, but nothing extreme whatsover.

Please note: This itinerary assumes you are travelling via train from central London however we welcome runners from anywhere!

If you're getting the train meet us at 08:50 outside the Cafe Nero Express inside Paddington Station.
If you're meeting directly at Marlow please wait outside the exit on Station Approach road at 09:45.

Please meet the Runaway team at the meeting point 15-20mins prior to departure.
Driving & parking
There is a small car park at Marlow station, you can also find free parking in the surrounding area on residential roads.
Post run refreshments
After the Kayaking session we walk walk back into Marlow and stop of at the George & Dragon for some post run refreshments.
If we can reserve an area we will, however we don’t formally book a table as this often requires a deposit/exact numbers. If the chosen pub/cafe is full or busy we will try somewhere else.
What to bring
Trail running shoes
Wear appropriate shoes for uneven terrain & muddy conditions!
Carry at least 500ml of water with you.
You're unlikely to forget this but please remember to fully charge it.
Bring an energy gel, bar or some sugar to help refuel during the run.
Running pack or bag
You'll need something like this to carry everything in.
A sun hat for warm weather or a warm hat for cold weather.
In cold or wet conditions please bring gloves.
Carry a small amount of cash, you never know when it will be useful.
