Upon arrival runners will register at the Shoulder of Mutton pub (1 min from the train station) and walk the short distance to the start line at the entrance of Coombe Hill - Be warned, the first 1.5km is a slow uphill stretch to the summit.
The route can then be split into three sections with the first a 7km journey along The Ridgeway to Cadsden. This serves plenty of stunning views and also passes through both Chequers (the PMs country retreat!).
At Cadsden, you will pass our aid station and then embark on an 8.8km loop around Whiteleaf Hill Nature Reserve, this will give shade from the sun and plenty of challenging terrain.
The final section is the same as the first, but in reverse, finishing next to the Coombe Hill monument.
Once recovered you can enjoy the stunning views and stroll down the hill for lunch, or a pint in Wendover.
The total distance is 21.4km with 542 metres of elevation change.
